Nothing Says DIVA More Than a Beautiful Red Lip

If you are anything like myself and the millions of other people that have seen this commercial, the one thing that jumps out at you is her beautiful red lips. The rest of her makeup is completely neutral so that the focus can be strictly on the lips; which is a great trick. If you dare to take the plunge into red lips, always make sure that the rest of your makeup is towards the neutral color pallet because you don't want anything competing with your lips. Too many colors on your face, plus a red lips can make you end up looking like a clown.

 Another secret to red lips is to find the right shade of red that works for you. Every shade of red, cannot work on every skin tone. I find that for lighter skin complexions a yellow based red looks best (ex. MAC VivaGlam Cyndi or L'oreal Infallible Beyonce Red); but for darker complexions, a blue based red really compliments the skin tone nicely (ex. MakeupForever #205). 

Red lips can take a drab face and make it look like a fab face with the stroke of a lipstick tube.
If u don't have the time to really "beat" your face ladies, just add a red lip to your look and it automatically adds glamor, sex appeal, and a timeless sophistication to your  look.
