So this Saturday hubby and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary of the day that he asked me to be his girlfriend(lol...I'm blushing right now thinking about that day :-). Back then I had such an hard exterior, I was even surprised that he even asked. Although I knew inside that I wanted to be his girlfriend, I still had to give him a hard time (it was my thing back then lol). He asked me on a bus ride to the mall not too far from our campus and I told him that I would think about it. I didn't answer him until 8 hrs later! He told me that he was nervous about my answer because he knew how hard I was.
A few years later, hubby (back then boyfriend) told me that if I would have said no, he would have been crushed, but still would have kept on asking. He said that he would have been the Urkel to my Laura and wear me down (lol). I am so glad that I decided to take a chance and let him chip away my hard exterior and see my vulnerability. It was and still is one of the best decisions that I've ever made, which is why we still celebrate it today :-)
