Hubby and I did a little shopping yesterday. We didn't really get to take advantage on any black Friday deals, but I am still very satisfied with my purchases :-)
Forever21 is great place to get trendy pieces, but it's an even better place to get inexpensive accessories to really bring an outfit to life. On this trip I had belts on my mind, but ended up picking up a couple of vests, and a scarf by the time I headed to the register lol.
This white tuxedo style vest is such a great find, especially for the price...Can we say $24!!!! How could I pass it up? lol
Now unto the main event...
Hello Lover: Trippin' on My Tribtoos :-) YSL Tribtoo Textured Leather Pump!!!
I've had my eyes on this pump for almost 6 months now. I've googled them, starred at pictures, watched the few videos that I could find on them, and stalked one of my favorite sites (ThePurseForum) for other divas sharing their tribtoo love in an array of colors. I made up my mind, I had to have the black textured leather in order to get the most bang for my buck.
They are great for every occassion from glam to casual and are super comfortable for a 5 inch pump thanks to the thick platform and almond toe front. I called my SA at Saks and asked her to put aside the gray suede in my size for me because they were 30% off on pre-sale, but when I got there the black textured leather was just calling my name (even though they weren't on sale).
I've always believed that if your heart is really set on something, then you shouldn't compromise (even if it takes a little longer to get; which is why it took me 6 months lol) because in the long run you won't be satisfied and will still want the thing that your heart is set on (well at least that's how I am).
I know that they may not look like much to some, but I am so glad that I finally got them. In a sea of flashy shoes, it's the well constructed basic/classic that really stands out to me :-)
FYI- The pre-sale event is still going on right now at Saks. If you need the info to a great SA (sales associate) in the shoe department in NY, let me know.
Sizing...
If interested... I would suggest TTS (true to size) or size .5 down in leather because leather stretches with time. I got mine .5 down because I was having some heel slippage in the 8.5
For patent, I would suggest .5 up because patent is not very forgiving with stretch and can dig into your skin making it quite unbearable.
For suede, I would suggest TTS.
These are just suggestions, the fit really depends on the shape of your own foot; you won't know until you actually go and try them on :-)

Oooo those YSL Tribute's r bangin! Were n e Louboutin's on sale at Saks? Please do an OOD w the tuxedo vest. I would love to see how you'd put that together?
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are fabulous! Is it weird to say they look like you...made for a diva seriously. I favor classic as well. Love those!
ReplyDeleteI think if one is going to spend a lot of money on a pair of shoes like YSL that they should be a classic staple color and design. Because you want to get the most wear out of it. I love the tuxedo vest!
