Knee length fitted dress: ZARA, mini-Cardigan: Forever21
As I do every Sunday, I went to church today to fellowship with the Lord and fellow believers. I don't know about others but when it comes to dressing for church on Sunday I don't really have too hard of a time deciding on what to wear. The reason is because I wear what I have. I don't have "church clothes" and "everyday clothes". Most of my clothes are versatile enough to wear to church or for different occasions everyday. I've always had the understanding of knowing that God knows my heart and sees beyond what mere men see, so regardless of what I wear as long as I keep it descent and dress with the right motives, I'm happy and could care less what anyone else thinks.

I'm in my church choir and the way that we try to keep uniformed is by color coordinating our outfits. We were told to wear brown and/or cream today and this was what I decided on. One of the things that I love about my church is that their is no dress code as long as you keep modesty in mind. You can come in jeans and sneakers or you can come with your Sunday best. Men look at and judge your outside appearance, but God is involved and concerned with matters of the heart.

I don't believe in changing myself once a week just to prove to others who I am, I find that a bit hypocritical. The same person that I am on Sundays is the same person that I am everyday. He knows the real me regardless of what I'm wearing, so I'd rather not have any pretense. I decided to keep my outfit very me as usual, chic & fab with an air of modesty.

ReplyDeleteive always wanted to wear my leopard print pencil skirt to church, but i was always self-conscious that people would think that im just there to look good. In reality i always present myself looking very nice and in my own sense of stlye. I also that people would think im dressed slutty or something. thnks for the inspiration.
