Look at What My Bestie Made Me Do...& I ♥ her for it :-)

Ok ladies, so my bestie @AllThingsFab101 posted a video weeks ago about her fall shoe hall. In that video were many fabulous shoes, but there was one in particular that I had my eye on way before she even recorded the video, and that was the Sam Edelman Torin Bootie.

The Torin is a very edgy suede bootie. It screams rock star chic to me. The studded straps gives your feet a sexy caged look, very dominatrix. I could tell just by looking at the pictures that these booties would make a statement with any outfit.

I was a bit hesitant to order them because I never tried them on and I only saw them online. I was concerned that the band around the ankles and lower calf may have been too loose for my legs, thus giving me the "Olive Oil (from Popeye)" effect. I kept looking at these shoes for weeks, I searched the web to see if I could see pictures or video of anyone wearing these bad boys, but most of what I saw couldn't properly relate to me. I spoke to my bestie about my concerns with the shoes and she informed me that the band wouldn't give me the pre mentioned effect. Her ankles are pretty small as well, so she informed me that the fit would be fine. She also said that if I felt like it was a little loose, I could always wear skinny jeans with it and tuck it into the upper part of the shoe (which is exactly how I envisioned wearing the Torin anyway :-).

She had so many great things to say about the shoes, that I went ahead and ordered them while we were on the phone. I am so glad that I took a little time to research them because I actually got them on sale at Nordstrom.com for 50% off of the $224.95 price tag, Yes...50% off!!! I was so excited and apprehensive when they finally came. In the back of mind I was wishing and hoping that they would fit the way that I envisioned and guess what?....they do. The strap around he ankle is a little big (which I was expecting), but it is definitely not something that a pair of skinny jeans can't cure. They are also very comfortable as well, thanks to the wedge heel and 1/2 inch platform. I am so glad that I listened to my bestie and ordered them (especially for the price that I paid). I am loving my Sam Edelman Torin booties. Now I'm just waiting for the first opportunity I get to wear them. Cold, cold go away lol :-)
