OOTD: Date Night - Fall Lovin'

The weather here in NYC has been so erratic lately. One day it's so chilly that you can get away with a sweater and leather jacket and then the other day it's Indian summer (urghh!). On Friday night hubby and I had a fabulous date night. We make a conscious decision to try and have date nights as often as we can, where we can just go out and enjoy the city and each other's company; especially since we are such home bodies when we are not busy.

The weather Friday night was so beautiful. It was breezy but not cold, so I decided on wearing a gorgeous draped skirt as my statement piece and built my outfit around this one item. I decided to pair this elegant skirt with a more casual shirt because I really love the juxtaposition. The fact that normally it wouldn't be the first thing that someone thinks to pair the skirt with really excited me :-).

We always have such a great time hanging out. We become like tourists in our own city, always looking for something new; and in the process we discovered a fabulous Thai restaurant next to a modern art gallery.
